There are various MP3 editors available on Google Play but we recommend using Ringtone Maker, which is not only free to use but amazingly simple as well. Just download and install the software and follow the steps below…Also, you can visit our post on How to Change Default Sounds on Android Phones.
Once you launch the Ringtone Maker it will show you the list of all the audio files stored in your device.
Select the track you want to use as a ringtone and click on the green icon and then chose edit. Here the track will be displayed in a waveform scrollable timeline.
Now you have to select the start and end of your ringtone by adjusting the grey colored slider. Once you have made your selection, you can play it to double check your selection.
You can also fine tune your selection by using zoom in and out options.
Once you’re happy with your selection – it’s time to save it. You can save it as a ringtone, alarm, music or notification.
Choose save and then save as Ringtone. Give it a name and hit “save.”
Ringtone Maker will let you save the selection as a default ringtone or it can be saved and located in Settings – Sounds – Ringtones.
